Recruiting, developing and retaining the best graduate talent are important and challenging tasks for any business. At The Outward Bound Trust we work with businesses through each phase of the graduate cycle, creating learning and development programmes to match each stage of progression:
Pre-employment – attract high calibre graduates, assess them with greater accuracy and start to build peer group networks to encourage recruitment and retention of the best talent at this important early stage.
Induction – support new graduates in their transition from study to work and build their communication, problem solving and team working skills. This process gives graduate recruits a positive sense of corporate values, purpose and direction.
Transition – the development of graduates as they move through their second year requires a greater focus on management skills, decision making and leadership. This course assists the transition from team member to team leader.
Springboarding – retaining and channelling the talents of graduates as they come to the end of their initial contracts is an important task. Springboarding programmes give graduates the support they need to develop the skills for the next step in their career.
