"I have also been amazed at how fast they (the students) become independent learners - something I did not expect to happen so quickly - and how quickly they gelled together and took responsibility for each other. This course provides an opportunity for students not to be straight-jacketed into knowing the learning outcomes in advance.  They need to be prepared and kitted out for the experience but then at the end of the day reflect on 'why' they have done certain things and what they have achieved, what qualities they have developed and where they can improve."
