At the heart of every course is an exceptional Outward Bound instructor, with the compassion, skills and qualifications needed to support and challenge young people.

Our instructors also play an important pastoral role, getting to know every member of their group, working with individuals to build confidence and trust, adapting the level of challenge according to their needs. Each instructor also has an equally important set of educational skills and experience, enabling them to help students reflect on and learn from their adventurous journeys and expeditions.
